The Puppy Playbook Policy At Two Shepherds, your puppy’s health, safety, and overall well-being are our top priority. Because this program is designed for young puppies (8–20 weeks old), we maintain strict health and wellness requirements to ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants. Health Requirements: All puppies must have a clean bill of health issued by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days prior to their program start date. Puppies must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations as recommended by their veterinarian (including Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella, where applicable). Proof of vaccinations and the health certificate must be submitted before the start of the program. Puppies showing any signs of illness (including coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or nasal discharge) may not attend training until cleared by a veterinarian. Wellness & Safety: For the safety of all dogs in our care, no puppy will be accepted who has been knowingly exposed to contagious illnesses (such as Parvovirus, Kennel Cough, or Canine Influenza) within 14 days prior to the start date. If a puppy becomes ill during the program, they will be separated for monitoring and their owner contacted immediately for pickup or veterinary care. All puppies must be on a vet-approved flea/tick prevention program. Behavior & Readiness: The Puppy Playbook is designed for young puppies still developing structure and learning boundaries — patience, consistency, and communication are key. This is a foundational program and not intended to address advanced behavioral issues such as aggression or reactivity. Owner Agreement: Enrollment in The Puppy Playbook confirms that the owner understands and agrees to these policies, acknowledges the importance of maintaining their puppy’s health standards, and commits to following post-program guidance to ensure continued success at home.
